First let me start by saying....I am so excited for this Vitality VoxBox. These are great items and getting them free from Influenster is awesome.

First Degree Advanced Burn Cream: $5.97 - $8.99
Playtex Sport Fresh Balance: $3.99
Elizabeth Arden FLAWLESS FUTURE Powered by Ceramide Caplet Serum: $60 for 1.0 oz
Pure Leaf Iced Tea
Softlips Cube: $3.49
Bikini Ready Energy Gummies: $14.99

I haven't yet tried the First Degree burn cream, but I am going to put it in our first aid kit for the vehicle. I am excited for this product because of the natural ingredients. It can also be used for razor burn.Wish I'd had it last week. :)

I won't have use for the Playtex Sport Fresh Balance tampons, but I do have a niece to give them too.

I have tried the FLAWLESS FUTURE by Elizabeth Arden, and I love it. It doesn't have a fragrance, dries quickly, doesn't feel sticky, and is good for your skin. I haven't been using it long enough to spot a difference, but having even skin tone is very intriguing. I hope this is able to do what it says it can do. :)

Pure Leaf Iced Tea is wonderful. I am a serious iced tea drinker and Pure Tea is my favorite brand. There is many flavors to choose from. If I can't personally brew it, this is my go-to tea.

I am in love with the Softlips Cube! I have the Fresh Mint and will be soon purchasing the Vanilla Bean, you can also purchase Pomegranate Blueberry. It is a very smooth formula and I can use it on my son without adding a shine and color.

The Bikini Ready Energy Gummies are great. It gives you a boost with caffeine and B-12. The flavors are grape, orange, and cherry. As a mother of an active 4 yr. old, an energy boost is a great thing. It's also better than a B-12 shot (in my personal opinion).

Thanks Influenster for picking me for this #Vita VoxBox.

May Birchbox

Birchbox for May 2014
  • Color Club Gala's Gems Collection: Heirloom Pearls is a pearly white nail polish with shimmer. 3 coats for complete coverage.
  • KIND Healthy Grain Bars: Pumpkin Maple with sea salt. I enjoyed this healthy alternative to sugary snacks.
  • Fekkai Technician Color Care Shampoo: I wasn't really impressed with this sample. It is a decent shampoo, but not enough to warrant the price.
  • theBalm® cosmetics How ‘Bout Them Apples?™: I love this product. I received Apple Pie. It is a wonderful dual-purpose color. You can use it for your cheeks and lips.
  • Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eyeliner: Unfortunately, I didn't receive this product. All I received is the cap. I called Birchbox and they were very easy to work with. They gave me $10.00 in Birchbox points to replace the missing sample. I think $10.00 was very generous. Thank You Birchbox.
If you are interested in trying Birchbox, here is the link to get set up. At $10.00 a month, it is a great way to try deluxe and sometimes full sized samples of high end products. Birchbox Information.

This is my review of each item.

  • Neo to Go. As a mother of a four year old, this is a must have product. I love the fact that I can take it on the go, with a bandaid in my purse and I am prepared for his little boo-boos.

  • Breyers Gelato Indulgences. Wow! This is seriously delicious. If you haven't tried it, I suggest you find some immediately.

  • Ivory Bar Soap. Our family doesn't use bar soap, but I decided to give it a try. I love the gentle cleaning of this soap. It works great on our little guy and is gentle enough to use everyday.

  • AVON Anew Reversalist Express Wrinkle Smoother. This is a very interesting concept. It has a colorless, silky feeling. You dab it on to your problem areas. If you haven't tried it and are looking for a wrinkle solution, you need to do yourself a favor and check this out. Here is a link to the AVON website if you would like to know more. AVON Anew Reversalist Express Wrinkle Smoother

  • Puffs To Go. Everybody needs to have tissue. It comes in easy to use, small packaging to use everywhere. It comes in Puffs with Lotion and Puffs Ultra Soft and Strong. I love the Puffs with lotion. Especially during the Cold and Flu season. It saves your nose. ;)

  • Shell Fuel Rewards Network Card. Unfortunately, we don't have a Shell gas station located close enough to be able to try the card out. For a limited time, new members save 25 cents per gallon on their second fill up and 3 cents every time after. It would have been nice to use this reward.

*All these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.

Cleansing Conditioner Review

Ever since the commercial for WEN's Cleansing Conditioner came out, I have been curious about the concept of not shampooing your hair. However, the price was not something I was willing to pay for. Then I found other cleansing conditioners in my price range. My hair is highlighted, dyed, thick, I have lots of it, and it is waist long. I use lots of product on my hair. (another reason I don't want to break the bank to wash my hair) I used these products in-between regular shampooing. Anyway, these are the three products I have tried. I bought all three at Amazon.

Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner.
16.9 oz. $4.97 add on item at Amazon.com
Pantene Pro-V Color Preserve Cleansing Conditioner
16.9 oz. $4.97 add on item at Amazon.com
Herbal Essences Color Me Happy Cleansing Conditioner
16.9 oz. $4.97 add on item at Amazon.com

My favorite is the Herbal Essences Naked. It has a refreshing minty scent and it makes my hair feel very soft. My second favorite is the Herbal Essences Color Me Happy. It's formula is similar to the Naked, but it has a softer scent. The last I tried is the Pantene Pro-V. It has a sweet minty scent, but I don't think it cleansed as well as the other two. I like the idea of giving my hair a break in-between shampoos. I will continue using the Herbal Essence Cleansing Conditioners. If you have tried any of these or others not listed here, let me know your opinions in the comments below.

I received a few samples of the new Coppertone Clearly Sheer Sunscreen to try for being a bzzagent. If you haven't tried the new formula, you need to. It has a lightweight, non-greasy feel. I HATE greasy feeling sunscreen. I am very fair skinned and need to use sunscreen all the time. It is great to have a sunscreen to use which smells great and feels like you aren't coated in a greasy film. If you would like to receive and review samples through bzzagent please comment below and I will send you an email. I love free stuff.

Subscription Services

I have recently discovered subscription boxes. Have you heard of them? I am so excited. Thanks to a friend's post on FB, I now get to unbox my own surprises every month. Most subscription services will send you deluxe samples or full size products of various items. It depends on the company you subscribe to.

The first subscription service I purchased was ipsy glam box, a monthly subscription for $10. Most of my products have been full size, and have pleased me every time. Each time you review a product you have received, you will gain points to then use in the bonus store. I would highly recommend this company if you are interested. You can somewhat customize your subscription to your preferences. As a bonus you receive a cute little makeup bag every month.

Join me on ipsy and subscribe to the Glam Bag! You get 4-5 beauty products every month delivered to your door, for just $10. Michelle Phan curates the bags!
Check it out here: ipsy referral

I also receive Birchbox. It is another beauty subscription for $10 a month. I like the way Birchbox has organized their point system. You receive points each time you review a product and recommend it to another person. The best part about this points system, you can redeem the points in the Birchbox store. Each 100 points is a $10 savings. Most of the sample products in Birchbox are deluxe samples, but they are of higher end products. You can also somewhat customize your preferences.

Sign up to receive a monthly delivery of high-end beauty, grooming, and lifestyle samples customized for you. Birchbox referral

Another beauty subscription I have tried is New Beauty Test Tube. This is a higher priced subscription service at 29.95 plus shipping. It only arrives Bi-monthly or 6 times a year. I was surprised with the products in the last tube I received. Of all the beauty subscriptions, this gives you the most for your money. I received a high quality blush brush worth $40. It paid for the Test Tube alone. If you are interested in this subscription, comment on this post with your email address, and I will send you a link to join.

I am sorry this is such a lengthy post. I will be posting pictures of the items I receive in my boxes this month, so keep checking. If you are curious about the contents of these boxes, YouTube has many videos of consumers "unboxing" their subscriptions. I will give you more details of my subscriptions in the upcoming months.

God Bless You,
Amanda

Just a little bit about me. I believe in God and His plan for my life. My motto is: Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes I don't understand why things are the way they are, but that is why I have faith in God. I know I can trust Him to guide me in the way He wants me to go. I am a wife, mother, sister, and daughter. I enjoy watching my son, reading books, listen to and finding new music and watching movies. I was home schooled for the majority of my elementary and high school years. I missed out on some of the social activities, but the price was worth it. My parents made sure my brother and I had extra curricular activities. We went on many field trips to places such as the Coca Cola factory, a gold mine, Jackson Hole Wyoming, and Yellowstone Wyoming. I was also a member of a home school band and volleyball team. I am amazed at the amount of determination and patience it took my Mom to home school us. I started working full time in my senior year of high school. A long history of customer service followed my first job at Kmart until a little over a year ago. My husband changed jobs which allowed me to be a stay at home Mommy. It is the most rewarding, important and challenging job I have ever had. It is very important to me to raise my son up right. I want great things for my him. He is quite the little character. He has a stubborn streak a mile wide, a loving spirit, and a huge fondness for Grandmas.
I love trying new things and new products. I have a serious addiction to nail polish. I can't seem to grow my nails out, but that doesn't stop me from loving all things related to fingernail polish and art. Someday, I will get my nails to work with me. I also have super long, heavy, straight, coarse hair. Just found a disturbing cluster of grey/white hair. Eek! I am always in the market for a detangling and conditioning solution. Right now I am using It's a 10 after showers and frizz ease to tame the split ends. I really need a haircut as my last haircut was over 9 months ago. I know I wouldn't have as much breakage if I had it trimmed more often, but alas there is always something more important. I just recently found Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner and am pleasantly surprised at the results.  I will post a review on here a little later. Look for it in the coming weeks.
Please stay tuned for more information and some discussions on varying topics.
God Bless,
Amanda P
